Here I am version 2.0
Been born again
And I’m ready to show
A martyred man to my former self
Was dead to rights
And I needed help.
I remember back then
And that moment when
I accepted Jesus Christ
Who forgave my sin
And now I must needs daily emulate Him
24/7, shoulder my cross again
Now, granted my Foundation is harder than granite
And no seed of doubt will ever crack this ground
It’s not confidential that this armour I’m wearing
Is forged in battle to keep me safe and sound
From the arrows of the Enemy
who seeks to eliminate me
Tries to batter and beat me leaving me timid
But our God has provided an Army
Of believers who stand strong, and are called to march on
Commandos fighting from our knees a battle lifelong
Hands clasped on bended knee
protected from the fangs of the Adversary
Now, granted my Foundation is harder than granite
And no seed of doubt will ever crack this ground
It’s not confidential that this armour I’m wearing
Is forged in battle to keep me safe and sound
When the swell of life’s storms swarms at my feet
By faith in the one and only Lord of the sea
I’ll step out of my comfort and walk in belief
Musical Interlude – 1:34 – 2:05
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Now, granted my Foundation is harder than granite
And no seed of doubt will ever crack this ground
It’s not confidential that this armour I’m wearing
Is forged in battle to keep me safe and sound
When the battle cry rises
And the last trump resound
The Four Horsemen loosed
And mayhem surround
I’ll ride with the Victor to the battleground
Musical Interlude – 2:34 – 2:49
And one day we’ll see Him
We will meet face to face
Our faith will be sight
Oh, the gift of His grace
And we’ll join with the angels
In an anthem of praise
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Amen!

Exposed
04:33
|
|||
Altered not by reality but by He from above who now lives in me
His Father sent Him so freely to teach us how we should be living
He tells us love others, to love peace, to act justly, and love mercy
Express empathy not just sympathy for those who are hurting
Back to the ideals of one heart, one love
Back to the passion of an all-consuming fire
Called to a life of holiness but forgiven if we fall
We can move mountains with a mustard seed of faith in Jesus Christ our Lord
Exposed to His Power once blind now I see
No power in heaven and earth will cause me to cease
Praising His name
I’ll fall to my knees
and the rocks will start sendin’
Praises to God for all that He’s made
(And let’s get) Back to the ideals of one heart, one love
Back to the passion of an all-consuming fire
Called to a life of holiness but forgiven if we fall
We can move mountains with a mustard seed of faith in Jesus Christ our Lord
No more will we hide our Light
For by His Word we are given life
In His loving arms he’ll catch us when we fall
And strengthen us to take the frontlines
And Let’s get:
Back to the ideals of one heart, one love
Back to the passion of an all-consuming fire
Called to a life of holiness but forgiven if we fall
We can move mountains with a mustard seed of faith in Jesus Christ our Lord

Radio Silence
03:14
|
|||
Static waves crash and pulsate
From a distant source unknown
Interference in a message
We have never agreed upon
But tune the dial a little finer
And come a little closer
The masquerade is over dear,
No longer room for posing
Result of disconnection
Over many a long year
And the building of a tension
That resulted in my fears
Of failure
To live up to
Expectations of the world
And has put us in the place we stand
Of brokenness, discord
This radio silence
Coming through loud and clear
An act of defiance
Like static in the atmosphere
You’ll not understand why I had to go
It’s something I’m sure only time will show
But this silence is the only thing I’ve known
A fortnight of silence
From failure of cords
And a lack of time taken
To inscribe the words
Most fleeting in nature
Are now lost to time
Once lost within
I now claim as mine.
The years are now behind us
and the frequency has changed,
but it’s time to face the music
and end this charade.
This radio silence
Coming through loud and clear
An act of defiance
Like static in the atmosphere
You’ll not understand why I had to go
It’s something I’m sure only time will show
But this silence is the only thing I’ve known

Silver Lining
03:10
|
|||
I gave you my heart, gave you my soul
Stood ready to provide and protect you
For all that you’re worth
You were my Lady, you were my Star
But something inside (you) drove you so far away
I’m trying to let go, it’s only the start
I’m new to this game,
You’re the first to break my heart
So, right now,
I think that I’ll bow out
Until I can come down
From these clouds of love
Their silver lining darkening with rain
Growing heavier, threating those beneath with pain
We’ll never know what would have followed the storm
I fear we gave up
But it is to live and to learn
A lesson in love
straight to the soul
Mind over matter while feeling unwhole
Mayhaps I will and mayhaps I won’t
Someday forget that you were once so close
You were the Sun and I was the Moon
No one could ever doubt that our souls were in tune
They saw young love, we lied, it was true
Just too damn afraid to let our song play through
Their silver lining darkening with rain
Growing heavier, threating those beneath with pain
We’ll never know what would have followed the storm
I fear we gave up
But it is to live and to learn
Their silver lining darkening with rain
Growing heavier, threating those beneath with pain
We’ll never know what would have followed the storm
I fear we gave up
But it is to live and to learn
I’ll not understand you asked my permission to leave
No one owns your heart, it was not mine to keep
Years have gone by, and now you’ve settled down
I pray he honours, respects you, the gem that he’s found.

Brave
Josh Groban
Wake up, wake up, the sun cannot wait for long
Reach out, reach out before it fades away
You will find the warmth when you surrender
Smile into the fear and let it play
You wanna run away, run away and you say that it can't be so
You wanna look away, look away but you stay cause' it's all so close
When you stand up and hold out your hand
In the face of what I don't understand
My reason to be brave
Hold on, hold on, so strong, time just carries on
And all that you thought was wrong is pure again
You can't hide forever from the thunder
Look into the storm and feel the rain
You wanna run away, run away and you say that it can't be so
You wanna look away, look away but you stay cause' it's all so close
When you stand uṗ and hold out your hand
In the face of what I don't understand
My reason to be brave
O oh oh oh oh
O oh oh oh oh
O oh oh oh oh
Go on, go on
You wanna run away, run away and you say that it can't be so
You wanna look away, look away but you stay cause' it's all so close
When you stand up and hold out your hand
In the face of what I don't understand
My reason to be brave

Good night, young dreamer, rest for a while
Sleep peacefully til I stand by your side
Dream of sweet nothings without a care
When you awaken, I will be right there
Quickly, untimely wert thou taken from me
My inevitable grief was quick and sharp
It will never settle
The visible wound will heal, but my heart will always ache.
I love you son, cries his mother
Mirrored words of his father
Yet there is no closure
For there is no justice
The guilty man no longer stays
Bound within this earthly plane
And while he stands before the seat
Attesting for his every deed
We are down on bended knee
Left behind in agony
Someday we pray to forgive
He who against has sinned
Good night, young dreamer, rest for a while
Sleep peacefully until I once again stand by your side
May the angels hold you tightly, snug under their wings
And hope for the joy that our reunion will bring

Picture A Pebble
03:22
|
|||
Picture a pebble
Picture a pebble on a beach
Just close enough to be lapped by the sea at high tide
And scorched by the sun at high noon
The tide ebbs and flows, ebbs and flows, ebbs and flows
Just like the spark of life that drives skin and bone
Imagine a green balloon
A green balloon that floats above this emerald sea
And those waters are reflected in his shimmering eyes
Filled with tears as he watches the balloon float off into the sky
The floating sphere reminds him of his pain, of his loss
Is it his father’s spirit adrift in the wind?
His tears flow freely and mix with the waters of the sea
Where the repeating burial continues, wearing away at the pebble.
And at once, he feels like the stone, bound, chained to the earth being washed away by his grief.
And, in the same instant, he feels angry at Him for taking away the one that he loved
He kicks the pebble
Sends it cascading across the waters
It breaks the rhythm of the rippling waves
As tragedy can break life’s steady pulse
The stone skips but few times more
Before it finally sinks beneath the sea's surface
And the steady pulse returns
And the pulse pervades his rage
His senses once dulled by emotion begin to return
He hears coursing of blood through his veins, the birds in the air and the lapping of the sea
He feels the cool water as he reaches down to cup it in his hand and trickle it onto his face
He smells the salt air as it drifts toward him
And tastes his tears as they well onto his cheeks
I met that man tonight.
I wrote this poem without ever thinking I’d meet him
Honestly, I already knew him, but I didn’t know the pain that he felt.
He made a simple request. I obliged.
I saw the tears flow, but didn’t know why.
I’m sorry for your loss, Good Sir.
I can only imagine that you will see him again someday.
Picture a star
Picture a star shining brightly
Just beyond what the human eye can see
We see but a shimmer but supposedly
These glints in the sky are massive
And make up something that our understanding surpasses
But maybe one of brightest is your father beaming down

Life
War against Flesh and bone
Inside
This skin that is my own
War against time
I deny sorrow take my light
I will arise, take courage, and fight
And the legacy I leave behind
Will be forever mine
For Mother and Father they reared me well
To laugh amidst danger, in the face of Death’s knell
I’ll march bravely onward into the unknown
My sword raised before me in spite of my foe
I've lived through sickness and famine
Darkness and rain
Trails tribulations unspeakable pain
Sorrow and madness, but one thing's for sure
I'll live forever in the hearts of the adored.

Inside My Fate
03:07
|
|||
Never going down, never, never going down (x4)
Hey, Satan, check it, invasion
Probable cause, Christians of the nation
Never underestimate a kernel of faith
Cause with the Word of God, you’re going up in flames
Satan I’m calling you out right now (x3)
Just lettin’ you know you’re never taking me down.
I am not sealed inside my fate
I’m destined for glory
For my God has saved
What he has made holy
Yes, I’m purified
Through the gift of His Son,
The blood of Jesus Christ
The story is telling because it’s already finished
He will succeed, you will be vanquished
Kicked out permanently from this physical plane
A new heaven and earth will be unveiled on that day
Old will be scrapped
A temporary home
And you will be plunged into a bottomless hole.
And good will reign, and peace and love
To every person – man, woman, boy and girl will be shown
Satan we’re calling you out right now (x3)
Just lettin’ you know we’ve thrown the gauntlet down.
We are not sealed inside our fate
We’re destined for glory
For our God has saved
What he has made holy
Yes, we’re purified
Through the gift of His Son,
The blood of Jesus Christ
Review, rearview, 20/20 hindsight
Regret? Don’t fret
Admission ticket’s denied
Get behind me Satan
Back in the past
I’m sorry but Jesus has you outclassed.
Don’t mean to rain on your parade, but he reigns in my heart
A Constant Companion that will never depart
Through the good times and bad
Through the happiness and sadness
His Word, the Bible, fills my heart with gladness.
You weaseled your way into my life when
You sweet-talked Adam and Eve in the Garden
And 2000 years later, I type this anti-prose
With a rhythm and rhyme that lets you know
We are not sealed inside your fate
We’re destined for glory
For our God has saved
What he has made holy
Yes, we’re purified
Through the gift of His Son,
The blood of Jesus Christ

Call To Action
03:21
|
|||
Fall in formation bolster fortification
Line and precept founded this great nation
Can’t hide our light we’re a city on a hill
Enemy in our sights and we’re bankrupting hell.
A call to war, not of this earthly plane
Not of flesh and bone, but of the spiritual vein.
A war that destroys man’s inner peace
Found again in Jesus Christ by he who seeks.
Step up now, and take a stand
Guarded against spiritual warfare in this land
Trusting in God’s unfailing provision
To heal our nation’s destructive divisions
Step up now and take a stand
Share the message of His loving grace and outstretched hand
A message of ultimate forgiveness freely given
The call to action to which we are bidden.
This is our call to action, shout it out
This is our call to service, look around
Help those around you who are suffering
Follow in the footsteps of Christ our King
Ring, Ring it’s a call, a call from the Spirit,
take yourself a moment listen closely and hear it
No more will we wander lost in the dark
But listen to and follow the voice of our Lord
This is a call, a call to peace
A call to peace that we are meant to preach
Cause he forever raised us from the grave
His Son’s blood forever did save
Step up now and take a stand
Be a beacon to the hope found in the Son of Man
Died on the cross raised high for all to see
Shed His blood to release us from captivity
Wrapped and buried in a borrowed grave
A two-ton stone blocked the light of day
Centurion guards stood against foul play
The Marys, Martha, and the disciples did grieve
Slowly days passed
All hope lost
He lay there still
But the morn soon broke
The ground shook
And the stone was rolled away
Angels said
“Hear Good News.”
Christ is not here
Remember He promised you
On the third day
He would rise again
He would conquer death and fear.
This is our call to action, shout it out
This is our call to service, look around
Help those around you who are suffering
Follow the footsteps of Christ our King
