lyrics

Here I am version 2.0
Been born again
And I’m ready to show
A martyred man to my former self
Was dead to rights
And I needed help.

I remember back then
And that moment when
I accepted Jesus Christ
Who forgave my sin
And now I must needs daily emulate Him
24/7, shoulder my cross again

Now, granted my Foundation is harder than granite
And no seed of doubt will ever crack this ground
It’s not confidential that this armour I’m wearing
Is forged in battle to keep me safe and sound

From the arrows of the Enemy
who seeks to eliminate me
Tries to batter and beat me leaving me timid
But our God has provided an Army
Of believers who stand strong, and are called to march on
Commandos fighting from our knees a battle lifelong
Hands clasped on bended knee
protected from the fangs of the Adversary

Now, granted my Foundation is harder than granite
And no seed of doubt will ever crack this ground
It’s not confidential that this armour I’m wearing
Is forged in battle to keep me safe and sound
When the swell of life’s storms swarms at my feet
By faith in the one and only Lord of the sea
I’ll step out of my comfort and walk in belief

Musical Interlude – 1:34 – 2:05
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now, granted my Foundation is harder than granite
And no seed of doubt will ever crack this ground
It’s not confidential that this armour I’m wearing
Is forged in battle to keep me safe and sound
When the battle cry rises
And the last trump resound
The Four Horsemen loosed
And mayhem surround
I’ll ride with the Victor to the battleground

Musical Interlude – 2:34 – 2:49
And one day we’ll see Him
We will meet face to face
Our faith will be sight
Oh, the gift of His grace
And we’ll join with the angels
In an anthem of praise

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Amen!
